What to look for in an Airbnb hose reel
The hero-photo amenity. Outdoor pieces earn their keep in the listing photos before a guest ever sits down. A fire pit or lit patio scene is routinely the difference-maker photo that wins the booking against the identical listing next door.
Weather is the real spec. Powder-coated steel, solution-dyed fabrics, and covers as a default. 'All-weather' from a bargain brand means one season in UV and rain; buy the fabric and frame, not the styled product photo.
Safety and liability by design. Propane fire pits over wood-burning in most markets (insurers agree), auto shut-off grills, and furniture heavy enough not to fly in wind. Your insurance carrier has opinions here — our STR insurance guide covers what they'll ask.
How many do you need?
Seating for max occupancy outdoors (guests travel as one group), one table setup, one fire feature where climate allows, and lighting that makes it all visible at night — the photo is taken at dusk for a reason.
Care and replacement
Covers on when unoccupied, cushions in by winter, propane checked at every turnover, and a hose-down monthly. Replace the first broken chair immediately — one broken chair reads as neglect in reviews.
