Editorial Standards & Corrections
VaultSTR exists to give agents and operators a defensible answer, which means the research has to hold up under a skeptical client’s questions. These are the standards every published page follows.
How recommendations are made
Every ranking starts from fixed criteria defined before we evaluate a single product, and every deal runs through one consistent underwriting model — including the ones that do not pencil. The number one pick must win on the weighted total, never on commission rate. Several of our top picks pay us nothing. The full rubric is in the reviews and rankings methodology.
What we will not publish
We do not publish pay-to-play rankings, undisclosed sponsored content, or reviews of tools we have not evaluated. “Worth a look” is not a recommendation — if we have not done the work, the tool does not appear.
Update dates
Every evergreen page carries a visible last-updated date. Pricing, integrations, and regulations move fast; when a page’s facts change materially, the date changes with them. Deal pages refresh twice daily from the live underwriting sheet, and sold deals are archived — not silently deleted.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it visibly: a correction note at the bottom of the page with the date, not a silent edit. Found an error? Email hello@vaultstr.com with the page and the issue — corrections are reviewed within two business days.
Commercial relationships
Some links compensate VaultSTR, and pages with monetized links say so. Affiliate availability never determines inclusion, score, rank, or verdict. Sponsored placements are labeled and carry the appropriate relationship attributes. Details in the affiliate disclosure.
What this research is not
VaultSTR publishes research and analysis, not financial, legal, or tax advice. Underwriting models are estimates built on stated assumptions — verify every number independently and involve your own CPA, attorney, and lender before any purchase.
What to expect
VaultSTR responds through the channel appropriate to the request and does not sell editorial placement.
