About VaultSTR
VaultSTR was built by operators who were tired of reading vendor brochures dressed up as reviews. Every tool we rank goes through the same 40+ hour evaluation process, and no company can buy their way to the top.

When we were scaling our own STR portfolio, the research process was broken. Review sites were full of affiliate-driven rankings where the highest bidder sat at the top. Vendor websites described every feature in superlatives. Operator forums had great instincts but no consistent evaluation criteria. So we built VaultSTR. A single place where every tool in the STR operator's stack is evaluated using the same rubric, tested by operators with real portfolios, and ranked on performance, not ad spend.

Our review process is the same for every category. No shortcuts, no exceptions.
Every tool review starts with a full vendor demo followed by hands-on testing in a live environment. We test against real operator scenarios: multi-property workflows, edge cases that matter at scale, and the integrations that operators actually rely on.
Vendor demos show you what a product can do. Operators tell you what it actually does. We interview current customers across different portfolio sizes and use cases to understand where tools perform, where they fall short, and what no one mentions in the marketing materials.
Every tool is scored on the same category-specific rubric with published criteria and weights. Scores are recalculated annually and whenever a major product update warrants a re-review. The rubric is posted on every category page so you can see exactly how we got there.
